The largest Depave Paradise project in Canada was started in fall 2018 and planting was finished in June 2019! This former roadway measuring 787 square meters posed some challenges for volunteers (road asphalt is thick!) but they got it done. This project was a partnership between Green UP, the Peterborough Downtown Business Improvement Association, and the City of Peterborough, and recently won an award from the Ontario BIA association!
